Revision Picnic

Today, PCH, GS, 24S and I went for a revision picnic, followed by a trip to Beese's Tea Gardens. We started off with our picnic at the top of Trooper's Hill, where it was very windy.
Food Yay!
See the lemonade in the picture? Yeah, that caused many problems... To start off with, when I tried to open it it fizzed up and went everywhere- so my reaction was to chuck it away from us. Unfortunately, it wasn't quite far enough away, and it kept fizzing, covering me in a fine spray of lemonade.

Later on, when we all had full cups, we decided it would be a great idea to try juggling oranges. Funnily enough, wind and oranges and lemonade result in a lot of mess- one of the cups of lemonade spilt all over one of the blankets, which we found pretty hilarious. We calmed down, and cups were refilled, and I put the bottle back down- knocking over my cup as I did so- causing lots more spilt lemonade, and lots and lots more hilarity!
Farewell Lemonade :(
We spent quite a while eating (cos food yay), and complaining about being cold, and throwing grapes and trying to catch them in our mouths. After a while, GS got bored, and tried to sit on PCH... Her view on this is summed up pretty aptly in the picture...
The Contrast In The Expressions!
Seeing as we had pretty much the whole of Trooper's Hill to ourselves, we kind of just generally ran around and took pictures, because why not?!

"Sass, idiocy, 'I can't even' and a great view, all in one"
However, after a while it got a bit too cold and windy, so we decided to walk down to Beese's Tea Gardens. Most of the walk's along the river, so it was really nice, and the sun came out, which made it a lot better! To get to Beese's from the side we were on, you have to take a boat trip across the water, which is a little nerve-wracking (the boat was very easily rocked!).
Yay Boat Selfie
We sat in the garden of Beese's and had proper English afternoon tea- scones and all! Of course, this accompanied an inevitable argument about the correct way to spread cream and jam...
The Weird One In The Middle Is GS (Jam Then Cream?! What?!)
Finally, we settled down to do some revision, playing a game where we looked at different points in the first movement of Beethoven's first symphony (part of our set work) and came up with reasons for why he did what he did. This took about an hour and a half (including breaks and lots of laughter).  PCH decided to record it so she could listen back and make notes, so lots and lots of time was spent making references to the recording and saying things, remembering it was being recorded and apologising! Part of the game also involved each person (minus 24S) being 'Mr Beethoven', and guiding the discussion...
Mr Beethoven #1
Mr Beethoven #2

Mr Beethoven #3
After we'd finished the first movement, we decided it was definitely to late to go onto the second movement, so we went to catch the boat back. However, the guy who drove it wasn't there, so we waited for a while and took pictures of the river.

Picture Perfect :)
Aww Reflections!
When the man arrived, we finally caught the boat to the other side, and walked back past the river and up to Trooper's Hill, where GS gave us a lift back and we got to experience her driving ;)

Overall it was a really really fab day! Whoop!
