Recently, I realised that my ceiling is mighty boring. Whilst the rest of my walls have been very much customised, my ceiling has remained very plain and boring. Therefore, I've decided to use the period of 'study leave' to redecorate. Having thought through several ideas, I chose a collage theme. I think this project is going to take a fair while, so I thought I'd share my progress with you, and show the (hopefully wonderful!) transformation :)
First of all, I had to remove the current wallpaper from the ceiling. It's been up there since before I was born, and had already started to flake in places. It's also got a rough texture- combined with a high bed, this meant that I occasionally woke up with cuts on the backs of my hands from thrashing out in my sleep!
Thankfully, large parts of this peeled off very easily. However, there were some parts that were trickier, and had to be scraped off, resulting in a light flurry of bits on my floor...
I was quite amused by the flying pieces of wallpaper debris, which
came off quite explosively at times, and have ended up everywhere and
anywhere. It's not the greatest, but have a video illustrating the funny removal. Also, huzzah for the first ever upload of a video I've taken!
