Balloon Fiesta!

On Saturday I met up with various friends to go to the Balloon Fiesta. I didn't get a chance to go last year (or the year before I think), so was really pleased that I could this year. I got there at around 5, and spent a bit of time just chilling and catching up with people. Then we went over to the Nintendo area, where we'd heard there was a chance to get Pikachu hats. We had to complete some activities, which were all pretty fun, and it was very much worth it- look at the hat!!

After that we decided to go on a free stuff hunt. However, various people ended up in different places (we completely lost GS for a while, resulting in me saying 'WHERE'S THE LITTLE ONE?!' and people thinking we'd lost a child...) so we gave up, and got refreshments- just as the heavens opened.

We tried to find shelter by setting up rugs under the trees. However, being more than a tad damp, and with a long wait until the actual Night Glow (the reason we were all there) we got bored and decided to walk into town to get food!

Last time we were here was for PROM!!

Along the way, we stopped to get drinks, and spent ages chatting, which was really nice. It also meant that, by the time we got into town, the Balloon Fiesta was just finishing- so we saw some of the fireworks over the Harbour. Very beautiful!

Finally, we got to the kebab shop, where we got food and took pictures, mainly because why not?!

All in all, I had a great night, even with a lack of balloons. Woo!
