Exploring Bristol (Again)

Last Saturday, the WombBuds held our first get-together of 2015. Can you believe that we've not been together as a group since last year?! I know. Awful.
Anyway, so we met up on Saturday, and it was probably one of my favourite days so far this year. We started off with lunch at Roll for the Soul, a bike repair workshop and vegetarian cafe near the centre. I'm going to do a separate post on this, so I'll save the details for then, but it was GOOD. Also, we saw a dinosaur!! (It was a fracking protest)
After that, we headed to Stokes Croft, where we went into the vintage market. It was a bit weird, especially the upstairs- it's just a big warehouse space with stuff everywhere!! But it was cool and fun :)
After that, we went on a bit of a street art hunt- after all, that's what Stokes Croft is known for!!
After Stokes Croft, we explored a bit of Gloucester Road. Having taken the bus along that route many times, it felt pretty weird to walk along it!! It's good to see the world from different perspectives though. Also- I got to get pictures of the things that I kept going past and thinking 'ooh, that's cool!'.
Also, we saw this flag hanging out of a window- there are words on the flag; I can't remember what it said exactly, but something along the lines of 'love has no gender' maybe? That sort of sentiment anyway. Made me very happy! :)
We went to the Arts House Cafe (Stokes Croft) for a hot drink and a sit down; then we decided to go for a wander and find some more street art!
Eventually, we meandered back to the part of St Paul's that borders 'town'. None of us wanted to go home, so we decided to walk past Cabot Circus, and back to the Harbour for froyo and beautiful beautiful Bristol Harbour/Centre at night :)
All in all it was a really really lovely day, full of cool findings/sights and adventuring, but- more importantly- fab friends and much hilarity. I then spent a couple of days with aching ribs from laughing so much!!
