It's Not The End Of The World

Our earth and moon can cease to turn
The rivers flood as flames they burn
Huge storms can rage whilst rain clouds grow
All debris hid by scattered snow
From down below doom can ensue
The world in turns made red and blue
But! Even that we can withstand
If we arrive there hand in hand.
We need to learn to love and hope;
The world could end and still we'd cope
If at the end we drop each gun
Play football in the dooming sun
The world itself just cannot end
With hearts around to make and mend
The only time the earth can fall
Is if we've really lost it all
Yet as a world we'll fight that day
With visions of a brighter day,
So still the end we will withstand
If we arrive there hand in hand.
And really, don't you know, my dear
With you to hold I'll have no fear
