In Spite Of Everything
She walks around purposefully, with a spring in her step and a smile on her lips. You wouldn't think she could reach the anger of dangerous silence, or the brink of tears: it's as if she knows that, really, we are all human, and if you are nice maybe humanity will be, too. She dresses younger than she is, but in a way that makes sense- not so consciously naive as she could be. There is a beauty, too, in her littlest actions: the way she raises a hand to her mouth, the discreet checking of a text. She makes you hope. She makes you feel.
