Incidentally, the specialist told me all this within 20 minutes (so we paid almost £10 a minute!) by looking at the x-rays that the NHS had taken, pointing out the very clear bumpy bit (that the NHS had missed) and saying the hypermobility was a big factor (which the NHS had already factored out). The health system is great (it's free), but that can only really be described as a piss-take. No offence.
