Harbour Festival!

This year, our trip to the Harbour Festival seemed to include a lot of walking... and, er... not much else. It was still really good however, largely because I was with people I love spending time with, and the atmosphere is always super.
So, what did we do exactly? Well, T, H and I (that's me!) met in 'the usual place', then walked from Cabot Circus to Queen Square, stopping to get a programme on the way. Once we got to Queen Square, K rang us, so we walked to Millenium Square to meet her, then back to Queen Square to meet R and C. We then looked around the market that occupies two sides of Queen Square, then decided to get lunch. T and I wanted crepes but that was a bit of a mess- the queue took ages, then halfway through making the second crepe for us the gas broke -_- T had the one we got, and I got my money back but couldn't be bothered to get anything else. T didn't finish all of hers though, so I had around a quarter of it, and was glad I hadn't had a full one as they weren't actually that nice!
We all met back at Queen Square, and stayed there for a little while.

It was then agreed that it was time to get drinks/ice lollies etc. I may or may not have drunk 2 bottles of Dr Pepper within an hour yesterday. Um. Anyway, R got a Twister, and we all marveled at how small Twister's are getting. Once we'd finished discussing it, we passed a man who said 'How small are Twister's now?!'. It's not just us!

Next stop- we decided to walk back to Millenium Square, taking a detour to Sainsbury's for cheaper snacks. It was so so packed, they'd installed a one-way system. I kid you not.
Stopped briefly in Millenium Square to watch the dancing :)

We then carried on to the Amphitheater, where a 'pop-up country' called State Of Happiness was set up. It looked very interesting, unfortunately we didn't get a chance to explore it fully. We did, however, look at the Time To Change 'village', which was good.
We looked through the market stalls a bit, then headed to Castle Park. On the way, H saw someone she knew, so she and T stayed to chat to them, whilst K, R, C and I went on to go to Macdonalds for K. It started raining on the way, and I got sidetracked by a beautiful and cheap clothes stall. I now have two new skirts and a new top ^.^
Ended up spending ages in Macdonalds, mainly because it was convenient (first to meet H and T, then because B said he was coming and would meet us there) and partly because it didn't stop raining.
Once we'd regrouped, we went into the Galleries for a bit, then walked through the rain back to the Harbour, where we thought we could go into the M Shed- something to do that was inside! T, H and R had umbrellas and B had a coat, whilst K, C and I got absolutely soaked!
Lost B on the way- he went to meet up with other people- and once we got to M Shed we found out it was closed :(
All Rainy :(

C and R left after that, and H needed to be picked up from the Galleries, so T, K, H and I walked back through Queen Square.
A Lot Quieter!
Finally, back to the Galleries where we all parted company, with my decision to walk home as I was already soaked.
That was possibly too detailed. Sorry! It probably also sounded like a bit of a wash-out (hehehe). Still, good friends and good atmosphere equals a fab day as far as I'm concerned :)
