A few weeks ago (Wednesday 4th June, to be exact!), the WombBuds decided to run riot in Bristol...
As before, it began with a trip to Cupp for bubble tea. I had ceylon black instead of jasmine green, and found that that was a lot nicer. Can't even think about the tea I had without some major cravings now! Roll on the next WombBud meet-up for more bubble tea ;)
Like last time, we got lunch from Boots (which does an amazing meal deal offer), and took it with us. We braved the rain and walked up Park Street to get to the museum, where we had lunch.Being a wombbud outing, this also required Kinder Eggs. However, these were not just any old Kinder Eggs- these were SPANISH KINDER EGGS! (Umm, basically like the hippo things in one half and a toy in the other)
Our main reason for being in the museum was to take a look at the 'English Magic' exhibition. It was alright I guess, and I liked the pictures they had of David Bowie's tour, juxtaposed against events happening at the time, but for the most part it was a little too fantastical and therefore inaccessible.
I've got to admit, I much much preferred the latest Banksy, which we took a look at on the way out! It's called Mobile Lovers, and has caused some controversy in Bristol...
Anyway, it was still raining when we left the museum, but we decided to chance it anyway, and walked up to Clifton Village, to head for the Suspension Bridge. We walked across and back, which was a first for both me and BKP!
Obviously, lots of selfies were taken, as well as some non-selfies (talk about classy!). Here's one of myself and MG looking out over Bristol.
Having finished on the Suspension Bridge, we walked up to the Camera Obscura, only to find that it was very much closed :( On the way back down, I discovered a rock, and decided to jump off. My face in this picture is extraordinary.
Finally, finally, back through Clifton Village- stopping at various charity shops- and to AngelBerry for frozen yoghurt!!
After that we still had some time, so we went on a Kinder Egg search that proved fruitless, before heading home. Though it wasn't a great day weather-wise, I had a really really fab day- can't wait to do it all again sometime!!
