Room Update!

Realised I haven't posted any updates about my room recently. Well, I've managed to convert what once was a dumping ground for odds and ends into the cutest little sleeping space- I've dubbed it the Den (because bears, and because Bear's Den). Still some work to do on the other end, putting up a clothes rail and generally organising it, but I'm pleased with what I've got so far. It's a dream to escape to!

Room Project 2015: Day Three

Having been out pretty much all day, today was another day of only managing half an hour's work... However, I am surprising myself with how much I am doing in half an hour!! Also, I bought paint today, which is exciting (though I have realised it'll be a long while till I can actually start painting). The aim for tomorrow is to get the closet almost (if not completely) cleared, ready to paint as soon as I get a free minute!! Below, behold the (awful awful) state of the closet after three days (which, to be fair, is only about three hours of actual work!!).

Room Project 2015: Day Two!

Bearing in mind that I only had about 30 minutes to work on clearing stuff out today... But small steps, right?! I did have a very exciting moment of finding a 'utopia' (eg, a collection of old dress up clothes) and my absolute all time favourite jacket from when I was 10...!!

Room Project 2015

Remember last year when I redecorated my ceiling? (Link to be added later) Well, this year I've got another room project. In the corner of my room, there's a partially walled off cubby hole, made from the space under the attic stairs. For years, I've used it as a dumping ground for the random stuff I couldn't bring myself to throw away. However, many years of clutter later, I have decided it needs to change. Largely because I want to get rid of my high bed, but there's not space for a bed and a desk in my room otherwise. Enter the cubby hole (to be called the closet henceforth)- just the right size for a bed! The aim is, over the next few weeks, to haul all the rubbish out of the closet, make it a pleasant sleeping area, then exchange my high bed for a better desk area. It's a pretty big challenge, so I thought I'd share my progress on here! Let's start with pictures at the beginning  of day one... (*internal screaming*)
