***This is a scheduled post***
Following on from my post about the craft fair, I thought I'd share with you my favourite craft from the kids activity zone: the egg nets. It was a really simple thing to do, but looked elegant and beautiful!!
You will need:- Circular pieces of netting/sheer material (any size really, try a few and see what works best!)
- Mini eggs
- Fake flowers with bendy stems (or ribbon!)
Literally all you need to do is lay the material on a flat surface (or even cup it in your hand!) and put the mini eggs in the middle- we used five for each, but you can alter that depending on size of material and whatnot. Then, gather the material into a bunch at the top so that the eggs are fully enclosed. Twist it round to tighten and create a narrower part, then wrap the flower/ribbon around there- this looks best if it's done quite tightly. Voila! You have an egg net!
As I said, it looks really effective, and it can be changed to suit any purpose really- for example, you could use sweets instead of eggs to create something less seasonal, or you could even use glass pebbles or similar to create a decoration!
