Germany

The German visitor (visitors?) reminded me of the earstud story.

For my last birthday, I was ecstatic to be given a pair of apple-shaped German earstuds (see picture). In fact, they were probably one of my favourite presents. Why? Because of a BMW. Sort of.

Once upon a time, on the way home from school, some bright spark had the idea of playing Truth or Dare. Brilliant, we thought. It was my turn first- I normally go for Truth. This time, for some reason, I went for Dare. Wrong move. I was dared to 'chat' to a randomly picked parked car (I was allowed to pick).
Having chosen my target- a BMW- I started asking it all sorts of interesting questions, such as if it was enjoying the weather. Before I got much further, however, my friend said the fateful words.

'There is someone in that car.'

So there was. And the someone was giving me a very glarey look. Which resulted in me running, as fast as I could, down the road (according to some, faster than I've ever run before) then collapsed in a bush, hidden from any passing BMWs.

My friends thought it was hilarious, and I've never been allowed to forget it. Hence the earstuds.

(The earstuds possibly have other, far worse, stories and reasons attached. But they're definitely not being posted on the internet.)
