Careers...

Oh great... Time to start thinking about sixth forms and A levels. Fun fun fun...
At the moment, I have a million debates- questions such as:
-Which sixth form?
-Should I stick with what I know or change completely?
-Will changing be such a big difference?
-What A levels should I take?
-Can I stick Maths for the next year, never mind two more?
-Is a love of BTEC Music really a good enough reason to take it at A level?
-French? Or not French?
-WHAT DO I WANT TO DO WITH MY LIFE!?!?

Now, I know that it's still pretty early, but everyone keeps telling me that I need to think seriously and make sure I rule nothing out; then they say that I'll probably do the opposite of what I choose now. How's that meant to help?
Career-wise, I'm currently thinking either medical or teaching, which leads to a whole other list of problems.
Medical- would involve helping people and feeling like I'm making a difference, but can be very stressful and doesn't allow much time for a life. Also involves blood, sick etc. Oh, and Maths at A level. Shit.
Teaching- more helping people, making a difference, blah de blah. I also like teaching and have been told I'm good at it (^.^). Howeeever, again it's meant to be stressful, it's low paid and would it really make enough of a difference?
I don't know any more!!
