At the moment 2012 became 2013, I was dressed as Titania and stood on one leg. The first thing I drank in 2013 was champagne; the first thing I ate was whipped cream (*just* whipped cream). The first song I sang was Auld Lang Syne, and the first thing I said was 'There was a spark and no streamer!'.
