When we got into school (wearing dyed/decorated uniform tops!), everyone gathered in the foyer and signed tops/took pics etc.
Front Of My Top By The End- Back Was Better But I Have No Pics :(
It was nice- a lot of the teachers came up, and though it was busy it just felt very communal. BB and I also nipped down to Music to place our leaving present, which was pictures of myself, BB, IG, CC and GG as cats (it's a long story!).
Three Of The Five Cats, Plus 'Cat Font'!
In tutor time, we took a lot of pictures. We also gave our tutors the presents we'd got them (all of which were based on in-jokes from the last four years), and they gave us each a little something, in the same vein. I got a kids sticker book to 'keep me entertained', which made me laugh a lot!
Yay For Presents! ;)
Our Tutor Year 11s
We then went to Textiles. Our teacher started off by saying that we could only stay in the classroom. A few minutes later, he let some people from other classrooms into our room, and we managed to persuade him to let us roam, though he put a limit on only in that section of the building. Within ten minutes, however, even that one had been thrown aside! We went up to English, where we were greeted with cake and the chance to take lots more pictures.
BB, IG And I Colour Co-Ordinated Our Tops: Powerpuff Girls!
As we weren't doing anything, BB and I got permission to go and practice our piece for the Leavers Assembly- What Makes You Beautiful, complete with BSL ^.^
At period three, it was time to get ready for the Leavers Assembly. I put myself in charge of collating all the computer stuff, which was stressful but vaguely fun. We also picked up our Leavers Hoodies.
A And I Wearing Our Jumpers!
Leavers Assembly started at break with a much contested video! There were then a few performances, a few other videos, pictures and all that jazz. BB and I performed out piece; admittedly, my singing was awful, but I really enjoyed it, and it was nice to do something different. Performing BSL was so fun! Other highlights included the 'awards ceremony' (we all had to vote; BB won most likely to be a dictator, the winner of the 'Never There' award wasn't there and we noted that the award for Best Dressed Teacher was less about clothing and more about looks), the speeches made by Mr P/Mr B and Miss F/Mr J, both of which were basically them trying to (jokily!) insult as many students as possible! (the latter included some abuse directed towards me; I accidentally insulted Miss F's accent a few days ago). A special 'shout out' also goes to IG for a very pointed remark based on the aforementioned much contested video.
After the Leavers Assembly we had a chance to say goodbyes, took pictures and had hugs- then it was time to pack up and head home in preparation for prom!
We were all very pleased that everyone seemed to enjoy the assembly; it was very stressful to organise at times, but we've been told that it was really good and that we should feel proud of ourselves ^.^ We're happy! :)
