Heya! Hope everyone had a good Christmas!- I know I have. I spent both yesterday and Wednesday at my aunt's house, with an assortment of family members. It was a very relaxed Christmas (lunch on the day itself was at around 5ish!) and a bit transient- we saw all the Bristol-based family, but at different times- so different to normal, but still really nice!
Family jokes of the holiday? Firstly, I became the family hero on Wednesday after working out the WiFi password (we were at my aunt's house, but she/her family were away- their house is the biggest so they gave us the keys- and no-one could remember the password, which annoyed people who were trying to set up tablet-esque devices!).
Secondly, the story of the cat: at my aunt's house, there is a cat called Jemima who is very very shy- so normally, when we're all there, she hides in my cousin's room. On Wednesday, she was being really friendly, which was a bit odd, particularly as none of the family she knew was there, but we didn't think anything of it, just stroked her. Then, on Boxing Day, we took our dog over. We kept her in one room at first, trying to keep her away from the cat, but eventually she got out and they had a bit of a spat- not so much a fight, just trying to play (as my littlest cousin said 'They're pushing each other!'). The cat fled into the dining room, so we locked her in there for her own safety. Four hours later, my aunt and her family got back. My cousin's first concern was for the cat, so she went and let it out- to find that it wasn't actually her cat, but one that occasionally comes round. We had not only been stroking and cuddling someone else's cat, we had also locked it up for four hours...
