29th July: A Big Decision I've Made

***This is a scheduled post***
This one's pretty pertinent, actually. At the moment, a lot of my friends are thinking about universities, and open days, and UCAS, and all that jazz. Though I'm still thinking about that, it's not as pressing for me- I've decided to do an extra year of sixth form, allowing me to drop Music and pick up two other A levels. There are lots of reasons behind this, the main one being that I'm unlikely to do as well in Music as I would like, and there's a good chance that I could do a lot better in a different subject. This could help me get into a much better university, which obviously is a bonus. In addition, I know that the main thing I enjoy about Music is the people and the enjoyment I get from the lessons- a lot of the people are leaving next year, and enjoyment of the lessons doesn't mean I enjoy the subject itself. Lastly, I feel like I could do with some more time to get my head around applying to university, which an extra year would give me.
It has not been an easy decision, not at all. There's been a lot to consider, and it's taken some thought. However, I feel relieved that I've made it, and I think it's going to be for the best!
